Comments: The New Orleans’ Baby Cakes are partnering with IFC to bring Brockmire to the ballpark! The Baby Cakes will host the first ever Brockmire Night on Tuesday, May 1 at the Shrine on Airline. For this special game, the entire Baby Cakes team will be sporting Crawdaddy’s jerseys (the fictional New Orleans’ minor league baseball team that Jim Brockmire announces for in Season 2) in place of their normal uniforms, and will become the Crawdaddy’s for the night. The Crawdaddy’s jerseys will also be available for purchase via an online auction May ! 1st - Jun e 15th with all proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society – Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge in New Orleans. Tickets to the game may be purchased here. Brockmire follows Jim Brockmire (Hank Azaria), a famed major league baseball announcer who suffered a notorious public breakdown after stumbling upon his wife’s infidelity. A decade later, he found happiness calling games for the Morristown Frackers, an underdog minor league baseball team. Now one year following the Season 1 finale, which found Brockmire chasing an opportunity to call games in New Orleans – leaving his girlfriend Jules (Amanda Peet) behind in the process – he is a top podcaster with his show “Brock Bottom,” while living with his co-dependent friend and producer Charles (Tyrel Jackson Williams)…and boozing harder than ever.
