Skal New Orleans 10th Annual Industry Update is taking place on Wednesday, June 25 at the U.S. Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center at The National WWII Museum. We expect an attendance of over 320 professionals from our state-wide Tourism Industry.
This is a very special year because not only is it our 10th Annual event but we are also celebrating Skal New Orleans 75th Anniversary as a club in Skal International. Yes…in 1950 Skal New Orleans became an official chapter of Skal International.
Our Keynote Speaker is Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line. “50 years on the Water, 30 years in New Orleans…More Than Just Anniversaries. The Future of Tourism.”
We are only a few weeks away and have over 300 seats sold . We still have room for additional reserved table sponsors…contact Bobbi if your company is interested in sponsoring a table of 10!
Individual “guest” tickets are $110 per person and will include a lovely dinner, two glasses of wine, a fabulous program as well as networking with industry professionals.

]]>For our extra special May 19th Skal meeting we have a real treat to offer! For those who can get away early, we will meet at Airboat Adventures, 5145 Fleming Park Road in Lafitte between 3:30-3:45 pm with Skal Member Brett Bares, VP of Airboat Adventures, hosting pre-cruise adult beverages at The Landing venue and at 4 pm experience an airboat ride through Bayou Barataria. If you rather pass on the exhilarating ride, you have the option to just hang and enjoy refreshments at The Landing.
Around 5:15 pm we will all head 9 minutes away to Restaurant des Famille for our traditional hour of networking/cash bar and then a wonderful dinner at 6:30 pm.
Because of this meeting’s out of the ordinary agenda, the dress will be casual and members will be allowed to invite their spouse/significant other.
For members who can’t get away that early, there is also the option to go straight to Restaurant des Familles, located at 7163 Barataria Blvd (Crown Point) starting at 5:30 pm/dinner at 6:30 pm.
