The MISI…George & Stacey Messina’s new special event venue in the JAX Brewery….is absolutely beautiful and we were thrilled to be their first banquet event! The amazing food prepared by Chef Mark Daniels was so delicious, the service was wonderful and what a fabulous view of the river and our great city. Our congratulations goes out to Skal Member Stacey Messina and her husband, George, for creating this incredible venue. We also thank Skal Member Valerie Landry with Element for providing the perfect touch with those awesome green linens with silky golden napkins! The 5th Annual Holiday Silent and Live Auction was also very successful thanks to Skalleague Stu Barash and all members who donated items and those who were the top bidders! The countless hours that Stu put into this fundraiser and the special attention to every detail is truly appreciated. We also thank Stu’s wife, CJ, for her time in helping set up the auction presentation and final tally. We exceeded last year’s total by raising $14,561.00 which will be shared with our two beneficiaries…Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and UNO HRT Scholarship Program.
Mark your calendars, Monday, January 13 for our Biennial Installation of Officers banquet which will take place at Muriel’s. This meeting will be open to members only.
